Bilingual Copywriter - Boston Ad Agency

Great opportunity for a talented writer/transcreator in Boston ad agency! Independently-owned, consumer agency is looking to build out and strengthen their creative department. The need is for a Copywriter/Transcreator with skill, enthusiasm, eagerness and experience developing communications that are culturally relevant and meaningful to Hispanic audiences living in the US. Someone to work across all mediums on all accounts and help to elevate the quality of work and create real and in-depth connections between US brands and Hispanic audiences. This person must be able to partner with an AD, and work across all areas of the agency as a cultural expert, demonstrating and providing insight about what it means to be part of a Hispanic family residing in the US. Candidates must produce long copy, short copy, scripts, social posts, conceptual writing and be a master of the headline. 

Unique set-up; this role is full time/part time. Treated as a full-time employee, the need is for only 25 hours onsite per week (but will likely grow). Perfect for the writer with a roster of virtual freelance work.

REQUIRED QUALFICATIONS:

• Must provide online examples of your writing, produced or not.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Collaborate with Art Directors & Designers to produce a range of high-quality work

Principal, Business Strategy & Market Development - Boston

Our client, a leading, private nonprofit, partners with socially responsible organizations across public and private sectors to help unlock the opportunity higher education provides, and teach lifelong financial skills. Its flagship product is designed to empower college students and alumni to confidently approach, manage, and pay back their student loans while gaining financial skills for life—offering a comprehensive continuum of services aligned to the student life cycle: from college financing through successful loan repayment.

This position is an exciting new role to the organization. As the Principal, Business Strategy & Market Development, you are a strategic member of our Client’s product development team and will be responsible for facilitating the identification of new business opportunities. This role spans a full product planning and business development lifecycle including: competitive and market analysis, financial analysis, market positioning and segmentation, pricing, product positioning and profitability, cost benchmarking, make/buy analysis, distribution analysis, capital investment decisions, and negotiation. This is an extremely high-visibility opportunity, which has the potential to change the flagship product's funding model dramatically.

Required skills:
  • Serves as primary lead on the evaluation of new business opportunities to expand the flagship product portfolio.
  • Defines the product offering for flagship product’s entry into the Employer/HR market. This will be the focus of your efforts for your first 12 months.
  • Partners with other senior staff (e.g. Sales and Executive) to ensure success with initial pilot clients within the emerging Employer/HR market.
  • Prioritizes and socializes a range of strategic opportunities and leads the analysis of their viability.
  • Fully develops business plans for new market opportunities. Recommends “go/no-go” decisions based on analysis.
  • Drives ongoing gap analysis of the existing product offerings against market need and identifies build/buy/partner/acquire potential.
  • Partners with other senior executives; leads the process of any buy or acquire decision.
  • Performs financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, and P&L forecasting for the specific product initiative.
  • Works with finance to establish appropriate pricing models for new product launches.
  • Partners with the Managing Director to establish and socialize a model for evaluation criteria of new product and market initiatives.
  • Partners with sales and marketing on new product positioning.

Education:
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree in an analytical or business discipline is required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in similar roles, with demonstrated experience in defining and shaping new market entry.
  • 7+ years in a senior product management role.
  • Experience across the full product life cycle is preferred.
  • 7-10+ years in a corporate strategy and/or business development role.
  • M&A experience is highly desirable. (e.g. due diligence, negotiation)
  • Outstanding ability to synthesize a variety of primary and secondary market research and analytical data to find trends.
  • Strong financial modeling ability.
  • Experience presenting market opportunities to a broad range of stakeholders, including executive staff.
  • Must have prior experience developing and selling a business plan.
  • Skilled at contract negotiation.
  • Experience transferring opportunities to activate/operationalize the initiative.
  • Experience working in financial services, healthcare, or education delivery.

  • Outstanding diplomacy, negotiation and managing through influence skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills; the ability to present concepts and strategies to large internal and external audiences to secure buy-in and to effectively communicate with internal colleagues and external partners.

Our client, a leading, private nonprofit focused on improving the way students approach, finance, and repay their higher education, is seeking an experienced and dynamic sales executive to establish and grow their flagship product’s position as an employee benefit in the Employer market channel. This individual will play the lead role in developing and executing a sales strategy that targets Employer categories such as IT, Professional Services, Financial Services and Health Care. The Managing Director will establish the sales strategy to meet aggressive growth and revenue objectives for this channel and will lead the sales effort within this channel, with support of inside and outside sales teams. While growing the product portfolio of partnerships in this channel, the Managing Director will also be responsible for the retention/renewal of relationships over the long term. The Managing Director will be responsible for the cultivation and care of these relationships as a foundation for broader market implementation.

Senior Account Manager

Our client is one of the hottest and most creative shops in Boston. They are innovative, forward-thinking and thrive on being UX- and Technology-driven. Reporting directly to the account team Director and Vice President, this role is tasked with keeping all types of projects within scope and within budget. You will be integral in client review meetings, and provide support for weekly finance tracking, monthly billing and forecast reports. The Senior Manager will also participate in QA for the digital and mobile content, experiences, advertising and applications put into market.

The ideal candidate is detail-orientated with strong organizational skills and has the ability to manage multiple tasks across various projects. It is also important for the Manager to be able to effectively translate and communicate client requirements, statements of work and scope documents to a number to audiences.

  • Exceptional conceptual and design skills and a robust portfolio that shows your talent in both print and Web
  • Strong experience on large cross-channel and/or direct-marketing initiatives across media, both online and off, and a mastery of Web production and the capabilities within digital channels
  • An expert understanding of Photoshop, Illustrator, and Quark/InDesign – plus (ideally) an understanding of HTML/HTML5, and video production
  • A four-year degree, formal design training, plus five to seven years of art direction and strong digital design experience, preferably in a creative agency
